1. Have you encountered situations where you are unable to clear vehicle DTC?
The reason for the inability to clear the DTC:
1.LAUNCH Creader Elite obd2 scanner for GM is great for Vehicles from 1996-2024. Note: Due to the newer model of 2024. If the device is not compatible with the vehicle, the DTC cannot be cleared.
2. This device performs software updates by connecting to WiFi or a mobile hotspot. If the device does not perform a software update, it will not be able to obtain the latest data, which will affect the clearing of vehicle fault codes.
3. If the vehicle itself has hardware faults, it may not be able to respond to the scanner's clear command.
4. This product only supports clearing historical and occasional DTC. The current DTC can only be cleared after vehicle maintenance. If vehicle repair and maintenance are not carried out, the DTC cannot be cleared.
5. Error codes cannot be cleared if the code clearing procedure is inaccurate. It is necessary to follow the prompts of the device to perform the relevant maintenance measures.
2. Why can't see any resets on my scanner, as its advertised all free service functions？
All free resets are in the related systems, Functions Vary by Vehicle model and year, not all available. >>>>>>For example, the way to use TCM‘s special functions should go to Diagnose>Manual Choose Model&Year>Automatically Search>System Selection> Transmi-ssion Control Module (TCM) > Special Functions, then you will be able to see the list of spe-cial functions supported by this system, There are more than 100 types of special functions for all systems combined. *Note: Special functions vary by vehicle model and year. You'd better send VIN to ensure the compatibility first.
3. Is this product free for life, or does it require additional payment?
Provides lifetime free access and updates for one software. If you need additional software, it can be purchased from the marketplace. These software licenses are valid for one year, and after expiration, they must be renewed to continue using the service.
4. Can it read and clear all fault codes?

Your device may require an initial software update after activation. This is a normal setup step that ensures you receive the latest software version, vehicle coverage, and feature improvements.
